  • Khali Berlin

    Khali J.B. Berlin, LCPC, Owner, has been a Licensed Counselor since 2003.  She specializes in treatment of trauma and sexual abuse, with training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR.  Khali primarily works with children and adolescents, with a focus in developmentally appropriate play and expressive therapies.  Named 2011 Idaho Counselor of the Year by the Idaho Counseling Association, she is a counselor supervisor, has served on the leadership board for the ICA, has given trainings to community organizations and university classes on various mental health issues, and has contracted with other organizations for professional consultation.  Khali assisted in establishing A+ Solutions in 2001 and purchased the company in 2012.  She developed the primary systems established in each of the programs in both the Mental Health Clinic and Developmental Disabilities Agency.   • Susan Thometz

    Susan Thometz is the administrator in charge of the Developmental Disabilities Program for both adults and children at A+ Solutions. She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and her Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Idaho. She is certified as a Habilitative Interventionist and Developmental Specialist for both adults and children and has worked in the capacity of clinical supervisor for five years. She brings thirty years of teaching experience at both the junior high and high school grade levels to the table, as well as experience owning and operating family business enterprises. Sue is committed to providing very caring and instructive therapy for our clients to help them achieve their goals.

  • Sara Holt

    Sara Holt is our Office Manager at A+ Solutions, she has been providing customer care in various work environments for the past 10 years, and has been with us at A+ for going on 3 years now. Sara is enjoying working in the mental health field and providing compassionate services to our diverse clientele. She is the voice of our agency and will be the one you are speaking with when you call to schedule your appointment. She currently oversees office duties in both the Burley and Twin Falls offices. 

  • Galen L. Tanner

    Galen L. Tanner has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Qualified Substance Use Disorder Professional. He has been a Clinical Member of American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy since 2001. Galen has 20 years of experience providing counseling to individuals, couples and families. He specializes in helping individuals with depression, anxiety, marital issues, parenting concerns, grief and loss, victims of abuse and those struggling with pornography and sexual addiction. As a father of a child with special needs, he is uniquely qualified to assist families with the many challenges they experience while raising a child with special needs. Galen has been married for 26 years and he and his wife are the parents of 4 children. His youngest son was diagnosed with Autism 15 years ago.

  • Liza Castaneda

    Elizabeth Castañeda (Liza) MS, LPC is a full time school counselor in the community and serves part time to provide quality counseling services to clients of all ages and backgrounds at A+ Solutions.  She has experience serving people with disabilities and serves many Spanish speaking clients and families, as well.   

  • Matthew Christensen

    Matthew Christensen graduated with his Masters Degree in Social work from Walla Walla University and met the Idaho state requirements for Licensed Masters Social Worker in 2011. He has worked with many children and adults with cognitive, developmental, emotional, and behavioral impairments and has behavior intervention training. Matt has experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families. He has also completed training and coursework in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and play therapy.

  • Natalie Bell

    Natalie Bell is a licensed Master of Social Work in the state of Idaho. Natalie has experience working with adolescents and children with conduct disorder. She has contracted with The Department of Health and Welfare, conducting Family Group Meetings. Natalie has obtained training from the Kemp Center, related to family group meetings. Natalie is skilled in working with children, adolescents and adults. Natalie works with teens who engage in self harm behaviors and struggle with suicidal ideation. Additionally, Natalie is also skilled in working with victims of domestic violence. Natalie is skilled in use of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, and play therapy.

  • Nikki Sayer

    Nikki Sayer received her Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education from Utah State University in 1995 and her Masters of Science in School Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University in 2009. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Idaho. Nikki has worked with adolescents for 20 years in a variety of settings as both a teacher and counselor. She specializes in art and play therapies and has worked successfully with youth struggling with depression, anxiety, and oppositional defiance.
